Description
Reed Ranch opened to the public on July 30, 2010 as Idahos newest fly-in destination. Strip has painted runway markers and windsock.
The airstrip was purportedly built by the Civilian Conservation Corp. (CCC) workers in 1943 to server a nearby road construction camp, and is now the 31st backcountry airstrip maintained by the Idaho Division of Aeronautics. There is a mailbox near the vault toilet, please register when you fly in so accurate use metrics can be maintained.
There is one vault toilet on site, no other amenities are provided. There are 3 sets of tie-downs midfield,
No line of sight between runway ends. Normally land Runway 16, depart
Runway 34. Airport is closed to non-emergency operations from November 1
through April 30. Edges and thresholds are marked with white rock.
