    Description

A strange public grass strip in Battle Ground. It's pretty long so would be a good intro to grass. There are some tall trees on the North end of the runway. Supposedly there is fuel available.

      GOHEEN airport (W52)

Great privately owned, public use airport. The owner, I was told is a wonderful person.
This airport has quite a few hangars on it, available for rent but, unfortunately, non available, at this time.
The runway (33-15), is in very god condition.
Moose and I stopped and, she got to run around.
      See you soon,

2012 Flight to the Pacific Northwest -- flying into Woodland, WA

Landing at the Woodland, WA airstrip was interesting. Glad both of us were seasoned pilots. You had to be confident and in control.

The runway is 1,900 feet long and 25 ft. wide. Not much different than landing on an aircraft carrier. Well sort of. We didn't have a tail hook to stop fast, nor a catapult to shoot us into the air on take off. We flew to Woodland twice. Once on our way to the Pacific coast and Canada. And again on our journey back to Minnesota.
I also took my niece Steph and her son Brayden for an early morning flight to see their house in Vancouver, WA, and also as a photo op.
