Description
This is my home airport located near the headwaters of Lake Travis. Privately owned by the pilots, open to the public. Some of the cheapest fuel in the area. No touch and goes or stop and goes allowed. No airport car available. No restrooms or other facilities. Free WiFi access throughout the airport. Very friendly pilots. Mechanic on the field.
The turf we land on is between taxiways, on the west side next to the hangars, at the north end of the airport. Approximately 1,500 feet long and 60 feet wide. It's kept mown and mesquite free. Local planes using it include Stearmans, Skywagons, CarbonCub, and Husky.
Disclaimer for new or inexperienced pilots: the turf indicated in the photo is not an official runway. Recommend you land pavement first, then look/walk the turf to ensure you are comfortable with the length and condition.
